CET Celebrate Annual Awards

This year’s annual awards certainly didn’t disappoint. Returning once again to Aldwickbury Park Golf Club in Hertfordshire; the usual glitz, glamour and warmth that has become synonymous with the event was in evidence.

Now in its 8th year, the CET Oscars acknowledges both team and individual excellence from across the CET Group of Companies. Attendees from CET and the partner network continue to value and actively participate in the event, showing genuine appreciation for those that have given their all over the previous year.

As in previous years, the awards ceremony draws a big crowd. Over 120 people were in attendance; happily renewing acquaintances and meeting new colleagues. CET’s rapid expansion over the past two years has added a lot of new faces to the crowd, yet the excitement and expectation hasn’t waned.

There was a slight change in format for this year. MC duties have traditionally fallen to Bob Blunden, Strategy Director for CET. This year he was unable to attend as he was celebrating his 40th wedding anniversary in Morocco. As excuses go, it’s a pretty good one. In his place, we welcomed Brad Waldron from Intelligent Inspiration, who did a sterling job of guiding us through the awards. A full list of the winners can be found below.

The Special Recognition award was the standout moment of this year’s ceremony, presented by Jon Hardcastle and Kevin Tonge (MD and Ops Director for CTS) to Jason Ramsey and Claire Mason who saved the life of a co-worker suffering a cardiac arrest while at work.

“The importance of reward and recognition is often underestimated” explained Peter Eglinton, CEO of CET, “The CET Oscars is an excellent platform for highlighting the strength of character, skill and dedication we have here at CET. The business has grown rapidly over the past two years and it was great to see representatives from CTS and CET Calibration enjoying the occasion.”.
