First opened in February 2017, the Heathrow laboratory is one of the newest additions to the CET group and has enjoyed a strong first year in operation. The site secured UKAS accreditation in September of 2017 for both site and laboratory testing and offers our full range of soils, aggregate, concrete and recycled aggregate testing services.
Conveniently located just 5 minutes from the Heathrow campus, the laboratory has become a key support centre for our clients in London and Thames Valley. A centre of excellence for specialist airside staff, the laboratory also supports major development projects in the busy M3, M40 and M4 corridors.
Our expertise and experience of airside operations contributed to the successful recent bid for sampling and materials testing works for a major contractor on “The Box” project for Terminal 2. This major project kicks off in June 2018 and will run for 6-7 months.
A combination of our technical knowledge, industry-leading turnaround times and our innovative CETi platform set us apart from the competition and continued a series of successful bids for works carried out at UK International Airports. We’ve recently been commissioned to provide investigative surveys on Taxiway, Landside Road and Airside road rehabilitation schemes at Heathrow Airport, plus support for Stansted Airport’s latest expansion phase.
Success has also fuelled growth within the Heathrow team, with 3 new employees joining in Q1 this year. In the same period, two of the more established members of the team have been recognised as employee of the month; Valentin Arnautu, Materials Technician (April) and Paula Rodriguez Muñoz, Administrator (May) presented by Alvaro Garcia Cabrera, CET Heathrow Materials Testing Manager; both were acknowledged for their excellent work and commitment to both CET and our customers.
Congratulations to the team at Heathrow for a successful first year in business,
