CET extends its CHAS accreditation

CET has extended its Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) accreditation to CHAS Premium.

Having already received accreditation from CHAS for its Health & Safety compliance, CET has recently been accredited under the new Premium category, with verified status for the following:

  • Environmental compliance
  • Quality Management compliance
  • Equal Opportunities & Diversity compliance
  • Financial & Business Standing compliance

The addition of these CHAS accreditations demonstrates CET’s compliance with 4 modules of the PAS 91, the nationwide standard for construction procurement.

“Working within the Construction industry, Health & Safety is always at the forefront of our business focus. We invest heavily in our H&S training and ongoing support for our staff to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest of standards.” Davy McCabe, Business Assurance Manager at CET said. “We work very closely with our clients to ensure that CET is fully compliant in all areas of our business, so we’re really pleased to have been awarded the CHAS accreditation in these new areas.”

What is CHAS?

CHAS was established in 1997 by experienced Health & Safety professionals, with an aim to improve industry standards. They have since become founding members of SSIP and were key developers of the core criteria in the Approved Code of Practice.

They provide third-party Health & Safety accreditation that is independently assessed and is one of the trusted accreditation bodies for the Construction industry.

Davy continued: “We understand the importance of this type of accreditation to our clients, not just from a Health & Safety standpoint, but also from a business and values one. Being awarded this accreditation is a testament to our commitment to ensuring that we lead the industry and set the standard in all areas of our business.”
